Holland Boss van Basten Says No Dispute Between Chelsea's Robben & Arsenal's van Persie
Netherlands head coach Marco van Basten has downplayed a dispute between two of his key players, insisting Chelsea’s Arjen Robben and Arsenal’s Robin van Persie would be major threat in their next Group C game against Ivory Coast on Friday.
After Sunday's 1-0 win over Serbia-Montenegro, Van Persie was reportedly angry about seeing very little of the ball, complaining that all action was targeted at Robben – who scored the match-winner - with too little coming back in for the Oranje winger to be able to utilise.
“Arjen Robben was right and Robin van Persie was right,” said van Basten.
“But what is important is that we stay together and work together and get better.”
