Greek Champions Olympiacos have made an impressive move for a Greek football club and signed Raul Bravo from Spanish Champions Real Madrid for four years for €2.3 million.

Raul Bravo arrived in Athens last night and is expected to be officially announced at a press conference later today.

Following criticism from fans regarding the poor team record in European tournaments, the team has landed some important signings during the summer transfer window, renewing hopes among the fans for a more promising Champions League participation.

Both Real Madrid and Olympiacos are in the qualifying groups for next season's UEFA Champions League. The Greek Champions are under pressure to deliver more quality football, despite the fact that the team were crowned Greek Champions 10 times during the past 11 years.

Even though the team has had an impressive record domestically, where they dominate, arch-rivals Panathinaikos have had a much better record in European tournaments.

It is the fifth signing of the team after Leonel Nunez, Luciano Galletti, Darko Kovacevic and Paraskevas Antzas.
