Ghana Black Stars May Switch World Cup Training Base From Portugal To Austria - GFA Confirm Offer Of Free Facilities
The Ghana Black Stars are considering switching their pre-World Cup training camp from Portugal to Austria.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed Austrian officials have offered them free use of their training facilities.
Two GFA officials have subsequently travelled to Austria to inspect the facilities to see whether they are suitable.
Ghana will be making their debut at this year's World Cup Finals in Germany, and had planned to begin their training camp on 14 May in the Portuguese city of Faro.
The Black Stars, coached by Ratomir Dujkovic, have arranged three World Cup warm-up friendly matches in Germany, London and Glasgow between 26 May and 4 June and intend to use their base to travel to friendly matches.
Ghana have been drawn in Group E alongside Italy, the Czech Republic and the USA.
Ghana's first opponents will be Italy in their opening match on June 12.
