France & Real Madrid Star Zinedine Zidane Says Farewell To Club Football With A Goal
France and Real Madrid superstar Zinedine Zidane signed-off his club career with a goal in Real Madrid’s 4-3 loss to UEFA Cup champions Sevilla.
The Les Bleus midfielder recently announced his retirement from football after the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany and signed off his club career with a goal for the adoring Real Madrid fans.
England captain David Beckham also gave Sven-Goran Eriksson a pre-World Cup boost by scoring a brace, even though it could not guarantee the Spanish giants a win.
On the score-sheet for Sevilla were Jesus Navas, Luis Fabiano and Javier Saviola with two goals.
Beckham's brace, and Zinedine Zidane’s strike completed Real Madrid’s games and gave them a second-place finish in Spain's La Liga - with Champions League finalists Barcelona already crowned Spanish champions.
