Former Republic of Ireland & Man Utd Captain Roy Keane Signs For Celtic
Former Republic of ireland and Manchester United Captain Roy Keane has fulfilled his boyhood dream, and signed for Scottish Premier League giants Celtic FC.
Midfielder Keane has been a Celtic supporter since he was a young boy, and he always said that after leaving Manchester United, he wouldn't play for another English club.
He has signed an 18 month contract worth £40,000 per week with the Glasgow side, and will join Gordon Strachan's team straight away.
Keane left Manchester United, where he had been playing since 1993, last month, in a surprise decision, and had been linked with a move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
That deal was put on hold after Keane passed a medical last Sunday, due to the Real Madrid coach Wanderley Luxemburgo being sacked, following an emergency meeting of the club's board on Sunday.
