July World Football Rankings - Brazil Reaches Top Ranking Following Copa America Triumph Over Argentina

Brazil and Argentina go ahead of Italy in FIFA's world football rankings for July 2007. The 2006 World Cup Champions Italy fall to the third ranking, primarily due to the Copa America tournament being played in Venezuela.

There were no tournaments for the European national football teams, with France loosing two ranks and being fourth and Germany loosing one point to rank fifth.

Mexico gained an impressive sixteen rankings following a successful performance in the Copa America tournament.
