FA Confirm Appointment Of Three-Man-Team To Find Successor For Sven As England Head Coach
The FA have appointed a three-man team to find a successor to Sven-Goran Eriksson as England head coach after the World Cup Finals.
The Football Association board have confirmed that the trio, who will be reporting back to the FA chairman Geoff Thompson, will consist of FA Chief Executive Brian Barwick, International committee Chairman Noel White, and the Premier League Chairman Dave Richards, who is also the vice-chairman of the International committee.
The FA today released a statement saying: “At an FA board meeting, discussions took place on the recruitment process for appointing the next England head coach.”
“It was agreed at the meeting that chief executive Brian Barwick would meet with International committee chairman Noel White, and vice-chairman Dave Richards next week to commence this process.”
The statement from Soho Square continued: “This group will report back to the FA chairman Geoff Thompson and the board. The FA board's next meeting will be on February 27.”
