Ex Chelsea Midfielder Didier Deschamps Confirms Deal With Juventus Even if Relegated
Didier Deschamps confirmed that he will take over Juventus from current manager Fabio Capello even if the Club are to be relegated. "Juve are always Juve" Didier Deschamps said.
With Fabio Capello destined for Spanish giants Real Madrid Sant'Albano, Juventus' new chief executive, met with Deschamps during last weekend and the two men have agreed, even if Juventus gets relegated as a result of a match-fixing scandal involving Sant'Albano's predecessor.
"Juve are always Juve, even if they are in Serie B or the third division," Deschamps said at an interview with Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Juventus chief executive has said in the past that talks with Capello would go on if the Club avoids relegation and stays in Serie A."
"I'm not scared by the fact that Juve may have problems in store."
"It would be wonderful to work with Ale again, we had a great relationship," he said about Juventus' new chief executive.
