Everton manager David Moyes has stated that if another club wants to sign Nigerian international defender Joseph Yobo from The Toffees, any bids will have to around £8 million (€12m).

25-year-old Yobo has just over a year left on his contract, and despite Everton reporting that a renewed contract offer has been offered to the former Marseille star, no word has come from either Yobo, or his representatives with regards to signing a contract extension.

Yobo, who joined Everton in July 2002, has been valued at around £4 million by his former club Marseille, as well as both Chelsea and Arsenal, with apparent interest from these clubs.

Moyes unwilling to sell Yobo, but if he decides on a move, he wants double that figure to release the experienced international.

“I would have loved to hear a word from Joseph or his agents before the World Cup,” said Moyes.

“I learnt in the papers they want him for four million pounds, but I will recommend [to the Everton board] that we sell at eight million pounds, so we should be able to cash in on his movement if he decides to go.”
