England's John Terry Out!

Submitted by Neville Nixon on Tue, 30/08/2005 - 16:02.

Chelsea's influential captain John Terry has returned from England's training camp unable to shake off the ankle injury that he picked up playing in his team's 2-0 defeat of Tottenham in the English Premier League.

The loss of midfielder Terry could mean that Liverpool's Jamie Carragher will get the chance to start both the games over the next eight days, partnering Rio Ferdinand, while Charlton Athletic's Luke Young could be handed his competitive debut at right back. Sven Goran Eriksson's defensive options are quite limited, Sol Cambell is injured, as is Ledley King and Gary Neville.
