England & Man Utd's Wayne Rooney To Have Foot Scan Before FIFA Deadline For Squad's

The date for England striker Wayne Rooney’s next scan on his broken foot will be a week earlier than originally planned and will now take place on 7 June.

20-year-old Rooney, had been due to fly to Germany with the rest of the England World Cup squad on 5 June, returning a week-and-a-half later for the scan in Manchester.

However, at a meeting on Monday, it has now decided to bring that date forward so that it would not affect the squad in any way.

The deadline for England to change their squad is the day before their first game in the Finals in Germany on June 9, which means now they will have time to replace Rooney should the scan prove to be negative.
