England and Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has denied rumours of a summer move to Spain, instead stating his commitment to the Premiership club.

Gerrard has been linked with a summer move for the past two seasons, most notably last season, when the star midfielder was linked with a high-profile move to the English Premiership champions Chelsea.

In the midst of a mass of press hysteria, Gerrard decided against a move to Chelsea last summer, deciding instead to devote his future to the club he has supported since he was a child.

Yet again the talismanic Liverpool captain has been linked with a summer move, this time to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

But Gerrard, speaking to Sky Sports News, has denied the rumour saying: “I’m not going to get involved with that kind of speculation again.

“I'm settled and happy, and I am not going to go through a summer like the last two.”
