England Gets World Cup Finals Warning From Trinidad and Tobago's Striker Stern John

The Trinidad and Tobago Warriors and Coventry City striker Stern John has sent a strong message to the England team that his country will not be an easy opponent. The T&T Warriors are considered as an outsider team in Group B.

We're not going there just to enjoy the moment and make up the numbers; we are going there to have a real go. Although pundits have said we've no chance, who would have thought Northern Ireland could beat England? Football is about who wants it most on the day," he told reporters.

"If England think they can take us lightly we are capable of turning them over. Most of our players play over here so they are relishing the prospect of playing one of the favourites. England should have a chance of winning the cup or at least getting to the final. But, like I say, it's all about who wants it most on the day."

John, who is playing in the English Football League Championship, is one of the key contributors to Trinidad & Tobago's qualification for the Germany World Cup, scoring 2 late goals against Mexico in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying Group.

The Trinidad and Tobago national football team will make its debut World Cup appearance in next summer's Germany 2006 World Cup. They will debut against Sweden in Dortmund on the 10th of June.

Who knows what the "soca warriors" could do. England playing Jamacia in a friendly may not give them the feel of Caribbean football they might want. Its a whole different ball game.
