England have announced an international friendly football match against the Netherlands in November the FA have announced. The match will take place on Wednesday November 15.

The Ajax Arena in Amsterdam will be the venue for the prestigious match which follows on from a string of Euro 2008 qualifiers for both teams in September and October.

The two sides have met 16 times to date, and England last faced Holland in a 0-0 draw at Villa Park in February 2005.

The match will be the last England game of 2006, and the new England manager, whoever it is that takes over from Sven Goran Eriksson, will already be entrenched in the qualification for Euro 2008, having already met Andorra and Macedonia.

Kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.
