England And Manchester United Defender Gary Neville Out For At Least 6 WeeksSubmitted by Neville Nixon on Fri, 23/09/2005 - 12:14.
English Premier League club Manchester United have confirmed that their influential defender, Gary Neville, will be out of action for at least another 6 weeks following groin surgery. The decision to operate was taken in order to clear up a long term injury that was aggravated in his last Manchester Utd Game. Having already been out of action for weeks, Neville's loss will not only effect his domestic club, but also Sven Goran Eriksson's England team, as they prepare to play their crucial remaining FIFA World Cup 2006 qualification matches. Another English defender, Real Madrdid's Johnathan Woodgate, made his home debut, starting his first match for the Spanish club since his £12 Million transfer from EPL club Newcastle Utd 18 months ago, unfortunately, he scored an own goal in the first half, and got sent off in the second, not much of a dream start, but at least he didn't get injured! in favorites | email this page
