Ecuador v Chile Teamsheets: Copa America - Liverpool's Gonzalez Starts For Chile, Reading's de la Cruz, PSV's Mendez For Ecuador

The full team-sheet for Ecuador v Chile in the Copa América Group B match in Puerto Ordaz on Wednesday.

For Ecuador, Reading FC’s Ulises de la Cruz and Vitesse Arnhem’s Giovanni Espinoza both feature in defence, alongside Ecuador captain Iván Hurtado.

In the Ecuador midfield PSV Eindhoven midfielder Edison Méndez, Antonio Valencia from Wigan Athletic and Red Star Belgrade’s Segundo Castillo, who is making a regular place for himself in the team all start.

Olympiakos forward Felix Borja, who was declared Copa Libertadores de América's joint top goalscorer in 2006, is starting the match on the bench, along with Striker Felipe Caicedo, who plays in Switzerland with FC Basel.

Ecuador head coach Luis Fernando Suárez has chosen Nacional de Quito striker Cristian Benítez to start in attack, alongside veteran striker Carlos Tenorio.

Starting for Chile in midfield will be Palmeiras midfielder Jorge Valdivia – nicknamed ‘The Wizard’ - and pacey Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez.

South American Footballer of the Year 2006 Matías Fernández, who currently plays for Spanish club Villarreal CF is starting the match on the bench, as does left-sided Besiktas star Rodrigo Tello.

In attack for Chile will be CF Monterrey forward Humberto Suazo and veteran La Roja striker Reinaldo Navia, who plies his trade in Mexico with CF Atlas.
