Dutch international midfielder Wesley Sneijder has been linked with a move to Italian giants AC Milan, who look set to make a bid to Dutch Eridivisie side Ajax for 21 year-old Sneijder according to recent reports.

The midfielder has been in great form for both his club side Ajax, and for Holland in their World Cup qualifying campaign. He is now a regular part of Marco van Basten’s ‘Oranje’ squad, and is almost a certainty to be named in the Dutch World Cup squad.

AC Milan's General director Ariedo Braida has flown to Amsterdam on Tuesday, reportedly to talk to the Dutch club over the transfer of Wesley Sneijder to the Serie A side.

Sneijder has previously been linked with big moves to both Manchester United and Real Madrid, but AC Milan are now the favourites to gain the signature of the influential playmaker.

A possible fee for Sneijder has still not been confirmed, but Ajax will be looking for a big fee for the midfielder. It is estimated that it could cost AC Milan's ‘Rosso Neri’ up to £15 Million to secure the contract.
