Didier "Maestro" Zokora Interested For Spurs Move, Turns Down Pompey Offer

Ivory Coast international Didier Zokora turned down an offer from Portsmouth's Harry Redknapp to bring the player to Fratton Park, however, as the players' agent confirmed, Tottenham Hotspur are a more desirable target.

At an interview with Sky Sports, Zokora's agent, Franck Belhassen, confirmed that the player would be more interested in the North London Club than going to Portsmouth.

"Tottenham are interested in Didier, but they have made no offer as yet. There are a number of clubs keen on Didier and we will see what happens after the World Cup," Belhassen said, adding to the speculation of recent days about which Club will sign hte Ivory Coast midfielder.

However, sources close to the player had circulated rumours that he is to move to a big European club and that a £10 million (€14million) offer had been already made to him.

They repeated that club's like Arsenal and Chelsea from The Premiership have already shown their interest, with Arsenal being the side that declared the strongest interest.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's manager had said that he won't move to sign Zokora, even though he was already recommended by one of his scouts, and instead revealed the signing of Abou Diaby.
