England head coach Steve McClaren has named David Beckham in his 26-man squad for the International friendly against Brazil at Wembley on June 1 and The Three Lions' 2008 European Championship qualifier at Estonia five days later.

Beckham's quality performances for Real Madrid have forced the England coach to rethink his squad after having struggled so far in the EURO 2008 qualifiers, where they currently stand in 4th place in Group E, behind leaders Croatia, Israel and Russia.

Reading's Nicky Shorey has earned his first senior England call-up after impressing McClaren in the England B team's 3-1 win over Albania at Turf Moor on Friday, with Blackburn's David Bentley hoping to earn his first England cap, with Manchester United's Alan Smith also earning a recall.
