Czech Republic coach Karel Brueckner has called-up three uncapped players for their two World Cup warm-up friendlies away to Turkey. Brueckner named a 28-man squad on Monday for the consecutive matches against Turkey’s A and B teams in Izmir, Turkey on March 1. The three new players are, attacking midfielder David Kobylik from Arminia Bielefeld and Hertha Berlin striker Vaclav Sverkos were named in the squad, along with Slovan Liberec defender Tomas Zapotocny. Czech captain Tomas Galasek, and wingback Zdenek Grygera are missing after both Ajax Amsterdam players picked up leg injuries during the 6-0 win over RBC at the weekend. An ever present in the team, Juventus’ star striker Pavel Nedved was also not selected. He has an agreement with Karel Brueckner entitling him to miss all Czech friendlies.
