Argentina v Tunisia. July 15th. 17.00 hrs (Bst) (Cologne)

The opening game of the confederations cup sees Olympic champions Argentina, and African Nations champions Tunisia, kick off Group A, in Cologne later on today.

Argentina beat Tunisia in the Olympics of last year, when they went on to take the title. This though will be the first official senior match between the two sides.

Tunisia's World cup debut was, in fact, in Argentina in 1978, where they went out in the first round after a credible showing. While Tunisia are the African cup of Nation's Champion's, they are not widely believed to be the strongest side in the continent, and they may well find it tough against the South American giants, who will be already fine tuning their squad ahead of next years FIFA World cup, after becoming the first nation to qualify from the South American group stages, after having beaten Brazil 3-1 in a thrilling match last week.
