Coach Guus Hiddink Names 23-Man Russia Squad For Euro 2008 Qualifiers Against Macedonia & England

Following is the 23-man Russia squad named by coach Guus Hiddink, ahead of their Euro 2008 Group E qualifiers at home to Macedonia on September 8 and at Wembley Stadium, London, England on September 12.

Goalkeepers: Vyacheslav Malafeyev (Zenit St Petersburg), Vladimir Gabulov (Kuban Krasnodar), Anton Shunin (Dynamo Moscow)

Defenders: Sergei Ignashevich (CSKA Moscow), Alexei Berezutsky (CSKA Moscow), Vasily Berezutsky (CSKA Moscow), Alexander Anyukov (Zenit St Petersburg), Denis Kolodin (Dynamo Moscow), Ivan Taranov (CSKA Moscow)

Midfielders: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (Lokomotiv Moscow), Yuri Zhirkov (CSKA Moscow), Igor Semshov (Dynamo Moscow), Dmitry Torbinsky (Spartak Moscow), Vladimir Bystrov (Spartak Moscow), Konstantin Zyryanov (Zenit St Petersburg), Viktor Budyansky (Udinese), Roman Vorobyev (FK Khimki)

Russia are third in the group with 15 points from seven games. England are fourth with 14 points in same number of games while Macedonia are fifth with seven points in as many games. At the top, Croatia and Israel have 18 points each with the latter having played eight games.
