Bolton Wanderers actually stand to make some money out of the transfer, if it goes through, with a Bolton spokesperson revealing that the club will receive a sell-on bonus as part of the transfer deal.

“As and when Eidur is sold by Chelsea the Club will receive a payment as part of the sell on clause written into his contract when he left the club to join Chelsea in 2000,”
