Chelsea and Liverpool are showing an interest in two of Spain's brightest talents who helped their country to claim the European Under-19 championship last month.

Real Madrid pair Juan Manuel Mata and Alberto Bueno were the stars of the show.

Both are currently with Real Madrid's second team Castilla - but their progress has not gone unchecked at El Santiago Bernabeu, as they were both included in the club's UEFA Champions League squad.

It is being reported that the pair could depart the Spanish capital next summer, which has alerted clubs from around Europe.

Chelsea and Liverpool are now said to be leading the race for the duo - who both play in forward roles, although Real are said to be doing everything in their power to make sure the two 19-year-olds sign extended deals with them.
