Charlton boss Alan Curbishley has stated that the uncertainty about who will succeed Sven Goran Eriksson as the new England manager is damaging his plans for next season.

Curbishley - who has already met Football Association officials and who is believed to be a leading contender to replace Sven-Goran Eriksson as national coach after the World Cup Finals- made a plea to the FA for clarity.

"[The England speculation] is a bit of a problem when you are trying to go about the business of managing Charlton," said Curbishley.
