Scottish Champions Celtic have agreed to terms with Chelsea's and Czech Republic's Jiri Jarosik for an undisclosed fee.

The Chelsea FC international has not been able to get many first team chances and the move to Celtic delivers a good prospect for his career.

He was signed in January 2005 from CSKA Moscow and only played in fourteen matches, while he was in Jose Mourinho's starting line-up for three.

Because there was little room for him with Chelsea, he was given on loan to Birmingham City last season, but returned to Chelsea after the Club got relegated to the Championship.

He was the joint top-scorer for Birmingham City, scoring 8 goals.

Celtic will play in next season's UEFA Champions League and Jarosik is delighted with the news.

"It is a fantastic time to be joining Celtic with the club again Scottish champions and also with so much to look forward to in the Champions League," Jarosik said.
