Brazil's Ronaldinho To Miss Russia Friendly After Recurrence Of Injury Picked Up Against Chelsea In Champions League
Barcelona’s playmaker, and FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho will miss Brazil's friendly against Russia on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
The Brazilian Football Confederation announced on Monday that they had given permission for Ronaldinho to remain in Spain to receive treatment.
He suffered a recurrence of a strain in his left ankle during Barcelona’s La Liga win over Real Zaragoza on Saturday.
Barca’s medical staff said that they had recommended rest, and to go through a few sessions of physiotherapy for Ronaldinho, who originally suffered the injury during Barcelona's 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Champions League last week.
