Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is on the FA short-list to succeed Sven-Göran Eriksson as England head coach.

The Brazilian, who guided Brazil to win the 2002 World Cup, is apparently one of the names in the hat to take over from the Swede after the World Cup.

Former Celtic and Leicester City manager Martin O'Neill, Middlesbrough's Steve McClaren, Charlton's Alan Curbishley and Bolton boss Sam Allardyce are thought to be the other candidates that will be seen during a second round of interviews.

Australia and PSV Eindhoven boss Guus Hiddink has now ruled himself out of the running for the job.
