Berti Vogts Eyes Up Vacant South Korea Post

Berti Vogts, the former Scotland coach, has been shown interest in by the South Korean FA for the job of managing the team in the FIFA 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany.

Since the sudden departure of South Korea's former Dutch manager Jo Bonfrere last week, whilst condemning the harsh South Korean media criticism he has received as the main reason for his exit, the vacated post has been the cause of much speculation.

The appointment of Vogts would be a positive thing for the Koreans, and time will tell as to whether or not he is appointed, but their longing for success, and their abhorrence of defeat, are always going to be a cloud over any manager's head.

As far as the South Koreans are concerned, winning is everything...Loss is disaster!
