Barcelona’s Brazilian attacking midfielder Ronaldinho has said that Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is one of the very best in the world while Manchester United ace winger Cristiano Ronaldo is great.

Gerrard has been the driving force behind the Reds’ entry into the Champions League final, where they lost to AC Milan in Athens. The 27-year-old midfielder is also a key performer for England.

Gerrard contributes to the attack as well as comes up with outstanding tackles in defence for his club as well as the country.

"Cristiano is a great player. But Steven Gerrard is, for me, one of the very best in the world," Ronaldinho, who is under fire for his lack of fitness this season, told Zoo magazine.

"For the job he performs, for me, he is one of the greatest."
