Arsenal's French skipper and star striker Thierry Henry has been crowned 'France Player of the Year' by France Football on Monday.

The Gunners skipper had to beat off competition from Les Bleus team mates Zinedine Zidane, Claude Makalele and Marseille's Franck Ribéry for the award.

Henry, upon receiving the award, also confirmed that he may still be playing top level football beyond 2010, but said that he might retire from top-flight football in the next four to five years.

Henry said: "Maybe I still have four or five years left, I don't know."
