Arsenal's manager dismissed Spanish press reports indicate that a deal has been reached with Real Madrid's presidential candidate Juan Miguel Villar Mir, that will see Arsene Wenger in charge next season.

Wenger made a short comment on Spain's daily AS denying that any deal has been reached with Real Madrid. "I do not know if someone has spoken with the club, but with me nothing has been agreed." Wenger told Spanish daily AS, adding that "It is not true."

Although Wenger did not deny that talks took place with Villar Mir, Arsenal quickly dismissed the reports and said that Wenger will lead the team next season, where they play in their new home, the Emirates Stadium.

Italian press reports indicate that Juventus coach Fabio Capelo will take over at Real Madrid and that he is the favourite for the job, however Juventus' new chief executive said that although a deal has been reached with Deschamps to replace Fabio Capelo, he wants Capelo to stay if Juventus don't get relegated as a result of the corruption investigation underway in Italy.

Real Madrid are looking to refresh their team and get rid of the players who do not meet expectations, so the Club can return to the successes enjoyed in the past.

Villar Mir, who is one of the strongest candidates, is opposing any measures that would restrict the new manager's plans and has said that whoever he will be, he will be able to take decisions independently and without the management's approval.

For Wenger this is the ideal scenario, as he won't have to answer anyone's criticism from within the Club for his chosen transfer deals, which is the case at Arsenal. However, he has proven his commitment to the Gunners in the past and would like to see Arsenal win a title on the first season at the Emirates stadium.
