Arsenal Defender Philippe Senderos Out For Three Months Of Premiership After Injury Against South Korea In World Cup Finals
Switzerland and Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos will miss the opening months of the Premiership season with Arsenal FC after the Swiss international defender dislocated his shoulder during Switzerland's World Cup win against the Korean Republic in June.
The 21-year-old defender, who was being considered as a candidate for the FIFA World Cup Young Player of the Tournament before being injured in the second half of the game against Korea on 23 June, opened the scoring in the first-half to help the Swiss to a 2-0 win, but yet missed the rest of the World Cup through injury.
Now, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the talented defender, who played a large part in Arsenal reaching fourth-place in The Premiership last season, revealing: “We have lost Senderos for the next three months.”
