Arsenal & Chelsea Stars Feature In Ivory Coast World Cup Squad Named On Monday

Ivory Coast head coach Henri Michel has unveiled his 23-man squad for the World Cup Finals in Germany.

The Frenchman has named most of the squad that were finalists at the last African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Arsenal defender Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue have both been called on in defence, with Chelsea’s Didier Drogba leading the attack with captain Bonaventure Kalou from Paris St. Germain.

Siaka Tiene, the Saint Etienne player who played in Egypt, was dropped, with the experienced striker Abdoul Kader Keita replacing him.

The Elephants make their debut at the World Cup and have been drawn alongside Argentina, Netherlands and Serbia and Montenegro in Group C, nicknamed the “Group of Death”.
