Five-time Under-20 World Cup champions Argentina face the Czech Republic in their FIFA Under-20 World Cup 2007 Group E match in Ottawa, on Saturday evening.

Argentina head coach Hugo Tocalli’s team go into the tournament as one of the favourites, but start the tournament against an up-and-coming Czech Republic team.

Czech Republic were the UEFA European Under-19 semi-finalists, and are a side with the ability to pull off a surprise result.

Unquestionably one of the biggest stars featuring in the World Cup is 19-year-old Atlético Madrid striker Sergio Kun Aguero, who already has one Under-20 World Cup title under his belt after having featured for the Albiceleste in the 2003 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winning squad.

Aguero, who at the age of 15 became the youngest player ever to play in the Agentinian first division, is joined by a wealth of young talent, with Liverpool defender Emiliano Insúa and Federico Fazio for Seville the other European-based players.

The Czech Republic have only two players playing outside of their country, with Tottenham Hotspur striker Tomáš Pekhart and ACF Fiorentina defender Ondřej Mazuch both named.

Both teams are at full strength for the clash, with no players suspended from the qualifying stages.

Argentina and Czech Republic have been drawn in Group E, alongside Panama and Korea DPR.
