Spain coach Luis Aragonés has named a 27-man squad for La Furia Roja’s World Cup get-together on May 8th, leaving out Real Madrid midfielder Guti, Valencia winger Vicente and Espanyol’s midfielder Ivan de la Pena.

Argentine-born left-back Mauricio Pernia from the up-and-coming Primera Liga side Getafé has also been excluded.

Aragonés has recalled the Spain captain Raul and Barca’s Xavi, who are both returning from injury, along with Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas & Jose Antonio Reyes, who came from the bench to score two vital winning goals against Manchester City, keeping The Gunners' hope of a Premiership 4th place dream alive.

Chelsea's Premiership championship winning defender Asier del Horno has also been included in the list by Aragonés for the get-together in Madrid.

Raul, who plays for Real Madrid, has been ou-of-form since returning from a knee injury in February, while Xavi made his first appearance for Barcelona - after spending five months on the sidelines with a knee injury - last week, to a standing ovation from the home-crowd at the Bernabeu.

Spain have arranged three World Cup warm-up friendlies against Russia in Albacete on May 27, Egypt in Elche on June 3 and against fellow finalist’s Croatia in Geneva two days before the Finals kick-off on June 7.
