Angola Beats German Second Division Club Kickers Offenbach by 1-0
The Palancas Negras, who are seeded in Group D, managed to win its first international friendly game in 2006 by wining Germany's Second Division Football Club Kickers Offenbach by one goal to nil.
The match was part of Angola's January training camp in preparation for the World Cup Finals in Germany next summer. Angola's Coach, Oliveira Goncalves, had the opportunity to try all the players in his squad and only the goalkeeper played both halfs.
Akwa scored the only goal of the match, 18 minutes into the game. The team will play another friendly against Morocco on the 17th of January before travelling to Egypt for the African Cup of Nations.
Angola's World Cup Finals Group D also includes Mexico, Iran and Portugal. Angola is also seeded in the African Cup of Nations at Group B, together with Cameroon, Togo and Congo DR.
