Alfio Basile Names 23-Man Argentina Squad For Copa America Finals - Riquelme Recalled, Tevez, Mascherano, Heinze & Messi Named

Argentina national team head coach Alfio Basile has named his 23-man Albiceleste squad for the Copa America finals 2007, in Venezuela.

West Ham United’s Carlos Tevez, Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze and Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano are all featuring for the Argentinian’s, with Barcelona star Lionel Messi back to full-fitness for the South American tournament.

Villareal attacking midfielder Juan Román Riquelme has been recalled by Basile as part of the 23-man squad to represent the Albiceleste, after Riquelme announced his decision to retire from the Selección in September 2006, soon after the sacking of World Cup coach Jose Pekerman.
