With the recent World Cup qualifying matches having taken place earlier this month, along with other International friendly matches having been played, the African Nations have been generally moving up in the World ranking's in the past few months, seeing Cameroon topping the African teams in 22nd place, going up 6 places in the latest FIFA World Football ranking's.

The Sudan have gone up 9 places, and Tunisia are up 8 places, only one behind Cameroon's "Lions of Teranga". The biggest movers in the past couple of months are current World Cup Africa Zone Group 1 leaders Togo.
