AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini, who is named by Italy’s World Cup-winning coach Marcello Lippi in the squad for the charity football match at Manchester United tonight, has undergone a scan on a knee injury picked up in Sunday’s 2-1 derby loss to Inter.

It was the 38-year-old living legend’s record 600th game in Serie A. Maldini, who would not require a corrective surgery, though, is expected to lead the star-studded side at a sell-out Old Trafford.
