22-Man Trinidad and Tobago Squad Prepares for the Biggest Game in their Lives, and a Chance at World Cup Glory

Trinidad and Tobago head coach Leo Beenhakker will have a 22-man squad to choose from following last-minute injury scares. Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones had been a doubt last week after his club had advised the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (T&TFF) that he would be unavailable for the match due to a hamstring injury.

Beenhakker named Columbus Crew frontman Cornell Glen as his replacement on Saturday; only to learn later in the day that Jones had passed a fitness test. The Dutchman decided to keep both players available.

The Trinidad and Tobago captain, Dwight Yorke arrives on 8 November to complete the squad. This gives the players four days to prepare for the weekend showdown against Bahrain at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, and a first step to World Cup immortality.

Trinidad and Tobago squad:

Goalkeepers: Shaka Hislop (West Ham), Clayton Ince (Crewe Alexandra), Kelvin Jack (Dundee United)

Defenders: Marvin Andrews (Glasgow Rangers), Dennis Lawrence (Wrexham), Brent Sancho (Gillingham), Avery John (New England Revolution), Cyd Gray (San Juan Jabloteh), Ian Cox (Gillingham)

Midfielders: Russell Latapy (Falkirk), Carlos Edwards (Luton Town), Denzil Theobald (Caledonia AIA Fire), Silvio Spann (Yokohama FC), Chris Birchall (Port Vale), Aurtis Whitley (San Juan Jabloteh)

Forwards: Stern John (Derby County), Dwight Yorke (Sydney FC), Jason Scotland (St Johnstone), Cornell Glen (Columbus Crew), Scott Sealy (Kansas City Wizards), Anthony Wolfe (North East Stars), Kenwyne Jones (Southampton)
