The Organising Committee of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany has announced that 6000 tickets have been reserved for Angolan fans for the first group stage of the World Cup Finals, according to the Angola National Radio (RNA) which cited sources from within the German Organising Committee. The tickets will be given to the Angolan Football Federation (FAF).

The chairman of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, Franz Beckenbauer, will visit the Angolan capital and welcome the Southern African team to the summer's tournament.

Angola has qualified for the world football tournament after beating Rwanda with 0-1 score at the last round of the World Cup Qualifiers. Nigeria missed the tournament and finished second in Group 4.
